To our non-profit clients Cantera provides a range of commercial services including food aid monetization, proposal writing, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and the organization of international meetings, conferences and workshops. To our for-profit clients we provide services such as the sourcing of agribusiness and agribusiness management expertise, and through our relationships with Burlington Capital and Delphos International, identifying additional funding options through equity, debt or other donor financing for commercial enterprises in emerging markets.
Through our team's direct involvement with the commercial business sector and U.S. government, we thoroughly understand public and private sector programming and business development. Cantera Partners can assist in organizing, structuring, writing, and presenting private sector business plans and full-responses to government Request for Proposals ("RFPs"). We have partnered in submitting proposals to the USDA, USAID, DoD, OPIC, and other foundations in pursuit of programming and investment support. Many of these submissions have been awarded and are currently being funded and implemented.
Cantera Partners and our affiliates have worked with a multitude of organizations and entrepreneurs in developing, funding (debt, equity, donor), and managing for-profit enterprises in emerging and developing markets. Our knowledge, experience, and relationships with key international businesses and entrepreneurs allow us access to the business tools necessary to create and sustain an enterprise that generates both financial and social returns. This network of in-country partners provides us with the insight to understand the cultural, political, and economic variables needed to effectively grow and manage investments in emerging markets.
Cantera Partners' parent company, the Burlington Capital Group ("BCG"), has served as the general partner for 17 public limited partnerships and four private partnerships, has raised and managed nearly $5 billion in assets, and has served over 100,000 international investors. With this direct connection to BCG, Cantera Partners is able to access the expertise and resources needed to provide our clients with extraordinary investment services.
Cantera Partners has the experience to independently monitor and evaluate investments and U.S. government programming. Cantera Partners is capable of providing these services on the public sector side through programming with USDA (in particular, Food For Progress and Food For Education), USAID, and OPIC, and on the commercial sector side through our involvement with private equity investments. We can evaluate objective achievement, program integrity, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness for our public sector partners.
Cantera Partners personnel are trained and experienced in strategic planning for Private Voluntary Organizations (PVOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). We have led strategic retreats, drafted strategic plans, and have ample experience in facilitating large meetings.
Cantera Partners has successfully secured over $90 million in funding for our partners through the U.S. government commodity monetization programming. Our team can successfully manage all aspects of the monetization process for our partners, including developing the initial proposal, identifying local buyers, conducting public tenders, securing financing, working with freight forwarders, and requisite government reporting and monitoring.
Cantera Partners can work with not-for-profit, government contractor and private sector partners to manage U.S. government programming once awarded. Cantera has representatives and partners around the world who can serve as in-country "eyes and ears," advising on commercial aspects of development projects and on enterprise management.
Cantera Partners works with NGOs to market, host, and manage group conferences and workshops. We facilitate regional relationships by organizing the event, identifying the venue, contacting invitees, marketing the event, moderating the conference, securing keynote speakers, and conducting follow-up evaluations.
